TEKKEN 8 | Jack-8
Paul and Thomas from Coping with Cardboard drop a solid breakdown of the upcoming UniVersus Tekken 8 set, focusing on Jack-8 and his kit. This guy is a beefy five-hander who makes face-down foundations count double for checks, and his cards perfectly mirror actual fighting game mechanics. They show off Iron Gunman which generates a Heat Token for chip damage, Meteor Raid for hand disruption, and his massive Terraforming Cannon Rage Art that hits harder if you are low on health. Even the Following Orders foundation lets you intentionally drop your own health to hit that Rage threshold, proving the designers really did their homework on the Tekken flavor. The whole set officially drops on August 14th, with pre-releases starting a week early on August 7th.
